Privacy & affiliate disclosure
What this site counts, what it doesn’t, and how the affiliate links work. In plain English.
Short version. No cookies, no accounts, no ad tracking. Visits are counted in aggregate, and a few clicks, like a download or an affiliate link, are counted anonymously.
What is collected
- Page visits
- Cloudflare Web Analytics records the page, referring site, country, device type and page-speed timings. It sets no cookies and doesn’t identify you; figures are only seen in aggregate.
- A few clicks
- PostHog records anonymous events such as “download pressed” or “affiliate link opened”. Nothing is stored on your device, and visits aren’t linked together.
- Delivery
- Cloudflare, which hosts the site, processes IP addresses to deliver pages and stop abuse. [Retention: per Cloudflare’s policy.]
What isn’t collected
- No accounts, logins or comment forms.
- No advertising or cross-site tracking.
- No data is sold or shared for marketing.
If ads are ever added, this page will change first, and you’ll be asked before anything is stored on your device.
Embedded video
Videos show as a still image hosted on this site. Nothing loads from YouTube until you press play; it then plays in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, and Google’s privacy policy applies to that video.
Affiliate links
Some craft tutorials link to shops through affiliate programmes ([programme names]). If you buy through one of those links, the studio may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
- Affiliate links are marked where they appear, with a note above the first one.
- They’re tagged so search engines don’t count them as endorsements.
- I only list materials and tools I use. A commission never changes what I recommend.
Your choices
If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, no clicks are counted at all. Any content blocker switches the counting off too, and the site works the same. For questions or requests, get in touch.
Before launch: [have this page reviewed for your jurisdiction. Some privacy laws require the site owner’s legal name and a postal or email contact here, even under a pen name.]
